This Yoruba statue depicts a female figure (priestess) with with beautiful scarification on her face, chest and arms. She is in a kneeling position with a bowl in her hands for offerings or divination. Items like this were often used to hold Kola nuts. The bowl is with decorative motivs. The statue has a beautiful patina and erosions. The right arm had a crack. Provenance: a well know Dutch collector.
