The Technics SL-231 is a belt-driven fully automatic record player. This solid and heavily built turntable was produced in 1978. This type is fairly rare and is almost never offered. The SL-231 is a fully automatic record player: with a push of a button, the player starts and the arm automatically goes to the beginning of the record. The arm automatically returns at the end of the record and the platter stops. It also has a repeat function with which you can play the record 1 to 6 times or infinitely. So it is very easy to use! Of course, you can also choose to manually operate everything. Technically in very nice condition, optically some flaws as shown on the pictures, see the back of the turntable. Removable cartridge holder (headshell), suitable for a wide range of cartridges. Platter with strobe to precisely fine-tune the speed. Pitch control +/- 6% for 33 and 45 rpm. Runs very nicely at a constant speed. Aluminium platter. The chassis is on 4 vibration-damping feet. To deliver this product properly, it is carefully packed in very strong boxes, thereby wrapped in bubble wrap with lots of padding.
