Il s’agit d’une « poupée de fertilité » nommée Biga en langue Mossi. Les poupées biga étaient offerte aux petites filles pour leur apporter bonheur, prospérité et fécondité.
Ces petites sculptures faisaient l’objet de soins attentifs. Elles étaient parées de colliers et de bracelets de perles, nourries et lavées symboliquement.
