Rare magnificent Art Deco style figurine/ sculpture of a large Posing Ballerina, great creation of the famous artist Karl Tutter for Hutschereuther Selb Art Department, in excellent to pristine condition.
This lovely sculpture, titled “The Finale”, depicts a young female dancer performing the last movement of her dance, the finale, the end, the closing...Her body is masterly modelled with very detailed muscular and fit anatomy and her arms, fingers and even the hair are showing a wonderful movement. Her face is showing a great joy, as if the complete performance has been perfect.
It is a large size figurine, exceptionally hand painted, marvelous detailed and executed, with impeccable captured movements and fantastic calculated equilibrium. Rare collector item in this condition !
Karl Tutter (1883 - 1969) was one of the most famous Austrian-German creators of porcelain sculptures of the twentieth century.
In the 1920s, he began working at the Lorenz Hutchenreuther factory.
This was the beginning of the artistic collaboration of Karl Tutter and Carl Werner, who over the four decades of their joint work, created many workshops in their plasticity and clarity of the shape of the figures.
The figurine is marked on the back of the base, beautifully sculpted and glazed, it is in excellent to pristine condition, NO chips, NO cracks and NO repairs, please see the pictures as they are part of description.
