Neil Percival Young (Toronto, November 12, 1945) is a Canadian singer-songwriter. He started his musical career in Winnipeg in the 1960s before moving to Los Angeles. Here he had success with the band Buffalo Springfield, after which he focused on solo work with Crazy Horse. Not much later he joined Crosby, Stills & Nash (and Young). Since the mid-2010s he has been assisted by the band Promise of the Real. He has released 41 studio albums to date. The most successful was his 1972 album Harvest.
