An Acquired Taste? Magma (2x), Yoko Ono, Happy The Man - Kobaia / Mekanik Destruktiw Kommandoh (a.o.) / Between My Head And The Sky / Happy The Man - 多個標題 - 音訊光碟 - 1970

On offer: 4 beautiful items for those with an acquired taste for not everyday's music. 1. Magma "Kobaia" this is a quite rare 2CD reissue from France 1988 of their original first studio album from 1970. It comes with a full-colour 8-page booklet in a standerd jewel case. A landmark debut from this avantgarde / cross-genre jazz / progrock band formed around Christian Vander. 2. Magma "Trilogie" includes three pieces recorded live at Théâtre du Trianon in Paris (France) during the Magma 30th Anniversary celebration on 13th and 14th May 2000. Mixed at Studio UZ, Autumn 2000. Sleeve at UZ Grafik. The three movements "Mekanik Destruktiw Kommandoh" - "Wurdah Itah" - Theusz Hamtaahk" were composed between 1970 - 1973. This 3CD comes in a 6-panel 3-tray digipak within a O-case cover, it includes a 16-page colour booklet and the complete lyrics to the Trilogy in a 80-page booklet. First published by Seventh Records A 29-V2 in 2001, this reissue is from France 2014. 3. "Between My Head And The Sky" is the last (?) studio album made by the unforgettable Yoko Ono and het Plastic Ono Band - this Chimera Music release is from Japan 2009. The gatefold cover includes a 36-page booklet. A super cool album and a strong late-career surprise from a perennially underestimated artist. As can be expected, there are some bad tracks included, but also some very good ones, check out the rocking opener "Waiting for the D Train", or the beauty of "I'm Going Away Smiling". 4. Happy The Man - the self titled debut of this US progressive rock band from Virginia, US came out in 1977. They're seen as one of the finest American prog bands, combining lush melodies, great complex interplay and a slightly jazzy touch with occasional vocals. The band claims to be influenced by Genesis, Yes, and Gentle Giant - I also heard Yezda Urfa - although they really do not sound anything like any of those bands. This CD is a remastered reissue on Musea FGBG 4323 AR from France 2000, and comes with a 12-page full-colour booklet. These CD's all are from my personal collection and are in Mint condition.
