A single exquisite crinoid, or sea lily, that has been expertly prepared in the rich black matrix of the famed fossil locality of Holzmaden, Germany. Also present is the beautiful golden-toned pyrite for which the finest examples from the locality are prized. Below the crinoid is preserved the stem. The sea lily used it to attached itself onto a wood or other organic material in order to float in the Jurassic seas filter-feeding on small marine organisms.
As many of those crinoids, the crown has been composited. That means the crown has been inserted into the stone
It will be careffully packed and sent with Fedex (of course insured )
