Air Ministry - Pilot's notes for HARVARD 2B (AP1691D) - 1951
On auction is a scarce period original of the Pilot's Notes for the Harvard 2B airplane as used by the Royal Air Force. These notes were issued by the Air Ministry in London in 1951 (2nd edition, April 1951). The 1st edition of these notes was published in 1949.
The Harvard (the RAF name for The North American T6 Texan) is an American single-engined advanced trainer aircraft used to train pilots of the United States Army Air Forces (USAAF), United States Navy, Royal Air Force, Royal Canadian Air Force and other air forces of the British Commonwealth during World War II and well into the 1970s. Harvards were gradually withdrawn from Royal Air Force service in the 1950s.
The cover retains most of its original colour and shows some stains and signs of use. The booklet has 36 pages and comes with 2 fold out plates of the cockpit configuration. Overall a very nice copy of this hard to find manual.
The manual will be sent by mail (small parcel) with track & trace.
