An antique black leather writing box with writing slope, also including some old rare documents. The box has curved front and rear top edges and a brass handle in the lid, it comes with it's original key. The box opens to reveal the document storage areas in the lid and the top writing surface which folds open again to make a larger writing slope with both top and bottom having storage areas beneath. The documents are all original. This is a really beautiful box, an elegant functional item which is decorative too.
