Crafted by the celebrated Japanese sculptor, Kubota Yoshimichi, recipient of the Prime Minister’s Award in 2010, this piece showcases the meticulous skill and spiritual depth that characterize Yoshimichi's esteemed career. Born on January 1, 1938, in Nagano Prefecture, Yoshimichi studied under Fujino Tenkoku and serves as a councilor at the Nitten Exhibition, a member of the Nitchoukai, and the president of the Chiba Prefectural Art Association. This Fudo Myoo statue presents the deity with his traditional attributes: a sword in the right hand to cut through ignorance, and a rope in the left to reign in those who would block the path to enlightenment. The swirling flames that form the nimbus behind him symbolize the purification of the mind. The signature is engraved on the back of the piece, authenticating this magnificent work of art. Despite minor signs of aging, such as slight discoloration and the accumulation of dust, the statue remains in good condition. It comes with a custom wooden box.
