Watch a video of this specimen by following the Vimeo link below: https://vimeo.com/934532359 Here is an unusually fine quality specimen from a lesser known, although very interesting locality: Laguépie in the southern 'Causses' (sedimentary cover) of the French Massif Central! It consists in a geode filled with scalenohedral white calcite in combination with sparkling botryoidal greenish siderite (sometimes referred to as 'spherosiderite'). What makes all the spice in this specimen is the dusting of multicolor iridescent pyrite, evenly distributed within the mouth of the geode! Just superb and unique, from a rarer French locality. The bottom and back of this specimen were sawn to remove excess matrix.
