Chinese Imari porcelain plate –China- Yongzheng period
On offer is a Chinese porcelain plate with a detailed décor in the Imari pattern, consisting of peony flowers with a symbolic meaning in China. Peony symbolizes wealth and prosperity. Taihu rock symbolizes longevity. Nice dark-brown glazed rim (jia mangkou). Provenance: Ye Hua Chinese Art.
Date: Early Qianlong period 1736-1795, ca. 1740-1750.
Size: This plate measures 23cm across.
Condition: Excellent! No damage. No chips, no hairlines.
