Filmed in 1968, "The Rolling Stones' Rock and Roll Circus" was never actually released, but has always been regarded as a "lost" event in rock film history. Photographer Mike Randolp took the official production stills throughout rehearsals and filming and featuring Mick Jagger as the Ringmaster, John Lennon in spangled tights, the Stones as clowns and courtiers, Pete Townsend and the Who, Eric Clapton, Marianne Faithfull, Yoko Ono and many more. The film was originally conceived as a rock concert set within a psychedelic circus world.
