Tenuta San Guido Extra Virgin Olive Oil shares the brand with one of the most famous wines in the world. In addition to vineyards of exceptional quality, within the property there are many olive trees, which have always been part of Bolgheri's heritage. The vine and the olive tree, together with cereals, represent the symbols of Mediterranean culture and find an area of choice in Tuscany. The oil comes from a blend of four cultivars typical of the region. Leccino is a rather productive variety, which gives a fragrant and fruity oil, which is complemented by the rich notes of Moraiolo, the delicacy of Pendolino and the vegetal and spicy aromas of Frantoio. The Extra Virgin Olive Oil is born inside one of the most famous farms in the world. Tenuta San Guido is located in the heart of the territory of the wonderful Bolgheri amphitheatre. The olive trees are grown among the vineyards, in the coastal strip between the Tyrrhenian Sea and the hills that run parallel to the coast, in the first hinterland of the Maremma. There are approximately 8,000 olive trees on the property, grown within an environmental context characterized by wild and uncontaminated nature. The Mediterranean climate, bright and caressed by gentle sea breezes, creates ideal conditions for the cultivation of olive trees. The harvest takes place in November, using the picking technique with nets spread on the ground. The olives are immediately transferred to the company oil mill, where they are delicately cold pressed, in order to maintain all the fragrance of the aromas. Tenuta San Guido Extra Virgin Olive Oil is an excellence of the Tuscan coast and of our peninsula. It has an intense yellow color, slightly veiled, with brilliant green reflections. On the nose it expresses delicate notes of fragrant olive, vegetal hints of aromatic herbs, sage, freshly picked tomato leaf, artichoke and fresh almond. The taste is delicately fruity, with soft and persistent aromas. It is a particularly suitable oil to use raw to season bruschetta, vegetable salads, cereal and legume soups.
