Fabulous Breakthrough Oval Basket with Handle produced by Herend Hungary, “Chinese Bouquet” Apponyi Green Collection, very rare, in pristine condition.
This magnificent reticulated oval basket has scalloped edge with gold trim, reticulated border highlighted in gold, medallions on both sides.
First Choice Herend Collector item, designed to meet the expectations of the most pretentious ones !
The origin of the pattern is associated with Count Albert Apponyi, for whom this simplified version of “Fleurs des Indes “ was first prepared in the 1930’s years.
It is in pristine condition, Like New Never Used, marked with blue Herend shield mark and numbered on the back of the base, NO chips, NO cracks, NO repairs, please see the pictures as they are part of description.
