For his photo book "Some Days," Wang Ningde has created a series of photographs with a mood that is instantly recognizable as his work. This "mood" is related to nostalgia, memory, and dreams. The essence of Wang's work lies in the closed eyes, or at least the lack of open eyes. Similarly, there is the people's clothing. Not all of the subjects wear the people's clothing, nor do they have their eyes closed, but they do have an element of dream. Wang's work can be said to represent 20th century China as a purified element.
