19th CENTURY, France - Animated naturalistic and rural medieval scene.
"Allegory of Spring" with two dragon protomes - Rare Table or mantel clock with 3 Signatures: MARTI + LYON + CAMUS
- Young peasant woman in period clothing, picking fruit, a basket on her arm.
- Splendid black marble dial, “Gold” Roman numerals/indexes, medieval style cathedral arrow hands, dial and movement placed on a black marble terrace. Floral architecture in gold metal signed "CAMUS"
This clock is approximately 140 years old.
- The 8-day key movement works and strikes the hours and half hours, but as the last revision is unknown, will have to be oiled and serviced by the new buyer.
***Clock delivered complete with its key, its bell and its pendulum.
- Total height: 31 cms / 12.2" - Total width = 30 cms / 11.8"
