Ōmura Kōyō was born in Higashi-mura, Numakuma-gun, Hiroshima Prefecture (currently Higashi-mura, Fukuyama City).
He was a Japanese painter working in Kyoto.
After graduating from Kyoto Municipal Arts and Crafts School and Kyoto Municipal College of Painting (currently Kyoto Municipal College of Art), He will enter the chikujōkai(竹杖会) school, chikujōkai, which is presided over by takeuchi seihō(竹内栖鳳).
Since I first entered the Bunten exhibition while I was in school, I have been vigorously exhibiting exhibitions centered on the Bunten and Tei exhibitions, and I have been advancing through the long-standing art process as a middle-level artist in Kyoto.
here are many works on animals, fish, plants, etc., and in the latter years, there are also works that draw Buddhist paintings.
