Old rum from Guadeloupe domaine de Séverin 1989. It was distilled in a Creole column and aged in oak barrels.

The history of the Séverin estate begins with the acquisition by Mr. Séverin of Habitation Bellevue
at the beginning of the 19th century. The distillery was founded in 1928 by Henri Marsolle in Saint-Rose,
north of Basse-Terre (Guadeloupe).
In 1933, he installed a mill there driven by a large wheel supplied with water by the main tributary
of the Grande Rivière, connected to the distillery by a 3km canal, to crush the cane.
This mill, now decorative, remains the symbol of the distillery.
Henri Marsolle was joined in 1952 by his sons, Joseph and Édouard.
The latter died in 1964, killed by the explosion of a boiler.
Following the accident, Joesph modernized the distillery by installing a 19-plate Creole column in 1966.
In 2014, the Marsolle family sold 65% of its shares to José Pirbakas.
A legal conflict followed between the Marsolle family and José Pirbakas leading to exclusion
from the estate's distillery in 2019.
