Super iconic Louis Poulsen Artichoke lamp. Conceived by Poul Henningsen in 1958 for the Langelinie Pavilion restaurant, this may be the most ambitious and luxurious of his designs. Its sculptural shape is nontheless a precise engineering device where the staggered shades prevent glare from any angle and provide an extremely special texture of light, both outwards and for the object itself. One of the great icons of Nordic design and grail pieces for design enthusiasts. This is the white version in 60cm diameter. This is a vintage piece, maybe from the 90s, telling by the old Poulsen logo in the inside label. This version is currently available in the Poulsen catalogue for over 14.000€ depending on the country. The lamp's condition is very good for a used lamp this age, with only a few scratches in the edges and insides of some shades that don't stand out when the lamp is hung. The inner cilinder and the ceiling rose also have very minor marks. Please refer to the pictures. A spectacular piece.
