Exquisite Karl Ens porcelain sculpture of a pair of “Polar Bears”, in excellent condition.
This magnificent porcelain sculpture was produced by the Karl Ens Porcelain Factory in Volkstedt, during the beginning of 20th century, marked on the base with Ens Mill on Green color (1919 - 1945).
The polar It is the largest living bear species, as well as the largest extant land carnivore. Although most polar bears are born on land, they spend most of their time on the sea ice. Their scientific name means “maritime bear” and derives from this fact.
Historically, the polar bear has also been known as the "white bear".
This sculpture is of exceptional quality, highly impressed fur-like, finished in a shiny glaze and hand painted in natural shades of white, with pinkish mouths and black noses.
It is in excellent condition, NO chips, NO cracks and NO repairs, please see the pictures as they are part of description.
