The Macallan was one of the first whisky distilleries in Scotland to be officially licensed in 1824. Little has changed since the 19th century. Macallan is also called the Rolls Royce among malt whiskies by connoisseurs and has won many awards. Nose: fresh-sour with notes of lemon. Further sweet notes, spices and chocolate. Flavour: citrus, sweet candy, ginger, cinnamon and oak. Finish: medium-long, slightly sweet with a dry ending.
