HESOPop is a contemporary artist based in France whose work explores the relationship between colour, geometry and the visual language of vintage graphic design. His compositions are distinguished by bold architectural forms, circles, curves and strong colour contrasts. Deep Majorelle blue, luminous yellow, black and warm neutral tones form a recurring visual vocabulary throughout his work. Inspired by the graphic experimentation, modernist architecture and printed aesthetics of the 1960s and 1970s, HESOPop does not seek to reproduce the past, but to reinterpret its energy through a contemporary approach. Texture plays an important role in his work. Distressed surfaces, subtle imperfections and aged-print effects deliberately contrast with the precision of the geometric compositions, giving each image a more tactile and expressive character. His MAJORELLE 70 series develops this approach through a collection of limited-edition works built around rhythm, balance, colour and strong geometric abstraction. Each physical edition is produced as a Fine Art print, then individually numbered and signed by the artist. HESOPop lives and works in France.
