Paul Secon for Sompex – Nylon lamp
A modernist vintage roof lamp made at the turn of the 60s and 70s. It was designed by Paul Secon for the German light factory Sompex, which was founded in 1948. The geometric frame is transparent and acrylic, it is wrapped by thin, nylon lines. That's why this project is frequently dubbed a "spaghetti" lamp. The frame and suspension made from chromed metal. The lamp is a typical representative of the mid-century current, in which an innovative search of fresh ideas is accompanied by aesthetic qualities and functionality. Thanks to the use of transparent materials, the lamp is received as light, its form forms a coherent whole, fitting both new and vintage-style interiors.
The lamp is preserved in very good condition. Here and there, slight scratches on acrylic parts. All lines are in perfect condition. The frame of the bulb with the standard E27 screw. The height of the overhang with the ceiling lining is 80/50, it's very big.
