Large red enamelled cast iron cooking pot by designer Michaël Lax voor Nacco, (also known as Copco) - Denmark. Stunning mid-century design in very good condition. Some normal but minor signs of wear to the bottom and a small chip to the outside of the lid of 4 x 2 mm. Also see all photos. Otherwise in excellent condition without damage or discolouration to the enamel coat, both inside and out. Size D3, large model: top of the cooking pot is 25 cm in diameter - measured without the handles. - H 15 cm in total Weight: 4500 g Both Copco and Nacco pots and pans are manufactured by Morsø Jernstøberi (Morsø Cast Iron Foundry) in Denmark. Nacco is an abbreviation of "N. A. Christensen & Co." The company was established in 1853 and produced primarily cast iron wood stoves. The foundry also developed a range of pots and pans in 1950 and recruited famous designers, such as Michaël Lax (USA). These cooking pots were a big hit in the USA and are still seen as a design icon of the 1960s. Will be well-packaged and shipped with track and trace.
