The Philips BX373A tube radio was only made in 1948. This radio is also called “Compass” or “Shiver Scale”. The radio is in VERY GOOD AND EXCELLENT WORKING CONDITION - Plays perfectly! - No scratches, - No cracks or fractures - No other flaws - The glass of the needle is fully intact - The speaker gauze cloth is undamaged - Everything is in impeccable condition! IMPORTANT: Note that the bakelite switch on the left side is still completely intact and working! This is the weakness of this radio. It is advisable to use a good antenna and possible ground wire. Very nice device and good useful eye-catcher in the living room. This radio device is 73 years old and is called the Compass because of the station indicator needle which vibrates and looks like a compass.
