Fotografie-Auktion (Forgetfulnumber - Royal Academy of Art - The Hague)

‘Forgetful Number’ questions relevant topics and use the medium of photography with its new possibilities and presentation forms to formulate a statement and position. During their exhibition the collective will focus on the future of contemporary photography. In order for the result to meet their dreams and expectations they want to raise extra funds for building up best presentations possible. The auction is curated by Beatrice Lontani. With a background in the History of Art and Visual Anthropology, Beatrice Lontani is a photography enthusiast from Italy with a strong interest in the discourse around the materiality of images and the social meaning of photographic objects. Since 2018, she has been a part of the Curatorial Team of SI Fest OFF 2018 (Savignano sul Rubicone - Italy), a platform selecting and presenting the work of emerging photographers, providing them a collective space to exhibit. She is now based in Amsterdam and was the Curatorial Assistant for the 2019 edition of Unseen Amsterdam, with an active role on the on-site projects in partnership with HKU, KABK and Gerrit Rietveld Academie.
