Omega - Chronostop - 146.009 / 28448876 - Herren - 1960-1969

DETAILS: Beautiful and excellent vintage Omega Genève Chronostop chronograph in stainless steel with red dial, from my personal collection. From 1969 production. Model / reference: Chronostop, case 146.009. Serial number: 28448876. Manual winding reliable movement caliber Omega 920, 17 Jewels. Chronostop Omegas are simplified chronograph watches with a SINGLE pusher to operate a stop watch function - press the pusher once to start the stopwatch hand (the big red hand); press it again (& KEEP it pressed) to stop the stopwatch hand (& read the time); and release the pusher to reset the hand to zero. There is no minutes sub-dial. So if you want to measure something for more than 60 seconds, you have to count the minutes yourself !  There is no continuous second hand on these watches.  Originally waterproof tested 30m. Case shiny/brushed bezel in all stainless steel. Dark red / burgundy matte dial background with white scale, steel or chrome indexes, white and red hands - perfect UNRESTORED condition. Red chronograph seconds hand. Date window at three o'clock (no quick date adjustment with the crown). Diameter size 35mm (without crown and pusher). Case length, lug to lug: 38mm. Genuine and practically unused genuine leather band red, 18mm with chrome plated buckle. Band is 18mm wide at lugs and 16mm at clasp side. Band is 110mm length holes side and 72mm buckle side. Easily adjustable to fit every man's wrist size. Original Omega winding crown stainless steel with brand logo raised. Very slightly domed acrylic crystal (probably original). Stainless steel polished case back with brand engravings and logo/seal inside. NOT waterproof or water resistant any more (NOT to be submerged - NOT guaranted in water sports/diving, etc.). Swiss Made. No case supplied, sorry. All original and authentic (except band/buckle). All pictures are of the actual item. CONDITION: MOVEMENT - Running fine and marked Omega, caliber 920 chronograph, 17 jewels (see pictures), manual wind mechanical, SWISS. Machine is very clean, has no oxidation and no flaws. The ticking and balance movement seems very strong and the accuracy is excellent for a piece of this vintage. Seems oiled and never to have been disassembled - has no tools marks on it. The chrono works OK, the push button is smooth and operates the chrono easily, also the reset is easily performed by the same pusher releasing it, with the chrono hand returning to Zero with incredible precison and accuracy. I've checked the accuracy of the watch and the difference in 24 hours is very good, I would say between 30-70 seconds, not perfectly consistent (laying flat and facing up - 1 position), and of course can easily be adjusted. Sure this is very good for such a vintage watch. The date changes correctly and sharply at midnight. DIAL - Unrestored in perfect mint condition. Has no scratches, no cracks, no deformations, no pitting, no flaws at all. No oxidation or yellowing. No fading to the letters, scales and markings (see pictures). The hour markers are steel or chrome and raised in perfect condition with no spots of oxidation. All markings are intact. HANDS - All hands are straight and original and have no flaws, no bends and no deformations. Original paint. In perfect condition with no spots of oxidation, no scratches. No paint missing. CASE - The case is stainless steel and polished/brushed top bezel that renders it very beautiful. It has been slightly buffed, has some minor and very acceptable signs of normal everyday wear like small and light scratches but very softened after polishing, hardly visible in some pictures. No scuffs or cracks. Case has no deformations, all the edges are nice and crisp, with insignificant wear to corners and edges. No damaged corners. Lugs have an exact 18mm opening and are not bent by accidental deformation in any direction. WINDING CROWN - excellent, no dents, scratches or scuffs. No brassing, edges and logo very crisp. Setting the hour perfectly. CHRONO PUSHER - original with no wear. No dents, scratches or scuffs. Actuating very smoothly. BACK COVER - Stainless steel marked with Omega marks and Logo (see pic). Screw-on type. Cover has no deformations. Insignificant marks from use and opening tools, acceptable. No dents, nicks, dings or scuffs. No oxidations. Screws easily and locks firmly. Sealing gasket present and intact. CRYSTAL - acrylic and polished - no obvious scratches, probably the original one. NO cracks. BAND - as new, very nice. Very soft touch and flexible. NO wear and no flaws. All perfectly clean ! PACKING & SHIPPING: Package Includes: Item as described and carefully packed together with Catawiki Invoice. I will post Item by Registered mail (Signed-for and/or Insured if possible and advisable to winner's country) Worldwide (with Tracking-Number).
