Two collectible Italian fountain pens - Columbus and Williamson

The lot includes two Italian fountain pens of the 1930s/40s: 1) Columbus Extra 134 1940s fountain pen in celluloid lapis with side toggle refill (patented in 1929) in good condition. Length 14 cm. Gold laminated M nib. The hood has two darts at the ends and the Skyline type clip is marked Columbus. The make and model are stamped on the pen’s body. The Columbus trademark was designed by the company F.lli Verga, founded in 1918 in Milan. The company has gone through ups and downs throughout the twentieth century and the pens with the Columbus trademark are present on the market as a quality product at an affordable price. 2) Williamson Vacumatic 1930s fountain pen in black and gold celluloid with ring and button refill. In good condition Length 13 cm 14 kt gold nib size 8. The hood has three metal darts and the arrow clip is in metal, in imitation of Parker pens. Williamson was founded in 1906 in Settimo Torinese (To) as an importer of the American pens made by Williamson Pen Company and subsequently undertook production of these pens, registering the brand Williamson in 1923. It ceased operations in 1950. Both pens could use a revision of the charging system as a result of them not being used for many years. The photos are an essential part of the description.
