Well-functioning and in good condition, no defects, a highly unique Lampe de Bureau, which was meant not to be sold but only for the employees of the main office of G-Star Raw in Amsterdam Zuidoost, for the occasion of G-star RAW's 25th anniversary. A real collector's item. Design by Jean Prouve, originally from 1933. This Lampe de Bureau is an authorised reedition from November 2014, Jean Prouvé by G-Star RAW for Vitra. Measurements: height 23 cm x width 24 cm x depth 4 cm. Colour: dark brown Light source: 25W E14 (is included) Background information: Jean Prouvé, born in 1901 in Paris, France Education as a smith with Emile Robert, Enghien and Szabo in Paris. In 1924 he opens his own workshop in Nancy and starts producing furniture from 1925. Co-founds 'Union des Artistes Modernes (U.A.M.)' in 1930 and starts the 'Les Ateliers Jean Prouve' in 1931. Countless furniture is designed there in the 30s, such as the first prefab architectural elements, for a.o. 'Maison du Peuple' in Clichy (in cooperation with Beaudoin and Lods).
