Very nice, large and extensive compass box. This antique French drawing set is made by Compas Superieurs BREVETÉS S.G.D.G Company in Paris, France, late 19th century. The box closes neatly, but the key is missing. The tools are made of the highest 19th century quality. They are made of brass, steel and bone. Were used for precision drawings. The set comes with a lot of interchangeable parts. We think the set is complete and original. The hardwood box is veneered and in a good used condition. Dimensions: 23.5 x 14.5 x 5 cm Weight: Ca. 720 grams. Lined with red velvet. Behind the velvet inside the lid is a brass protractor. The tray with the parts can be removed. Underneath the tray is a storage compartment. Inside the compartment are a couple of homemade templates. A nice object to add to a collection, to place on an old desk or as a demonstration set at a technical school.
