Synthese Floating 2. Speaker set with floating tweeters. Floating System is a Belgian speaker manufacturer, best known for the handmade Floating Synthese speakers. Speaker builder Ivan Schellekens and his speakers enjoyed much popularity in 1980s and 90s and still have a true “cult” status nowadays. Typical for Floating speakers is the “floating tweeter” principle, disconnecting the tweeter with the bass unit and the speaker cabinet to eliminate vibrations resulting in an open, 3D stereo image and better placement of instruments in the space.
