Circa 1920–1940, USA A very tasteful so-called "holophane" lamp. Holophane is a type of glass, patented in Great Britain and made in the USA and France, which is mostly used for glass lamp shades. Due to the many prisms in the glass, the lamp provided a much larger light output. These lamp shades were predominantly used in shops and offices and such, which is why it is often referred to as industrial design. The style is Art Deco. This lamp is 26 cm high and 30 cm in diameter. The lamp is in good condition, with one small chip in the glass; this is located behind the connector clip and not visible. The text "France, Holophane, no. 2130R" "PAT 114-988" is cast in the glass (see photos). The weight including the box is more than 5 kg. The lamp has been rewired and comes with a light bulb and plug. The lamp will be packaged with care and shipped by registered post. Pick-up in the Netherlands is also an option.
