Spelter statuette in patinated bronze colour on a small wooden base, imitation marble, of a young boy (in Poulbot style) with an apron and a cauldron, calling out to passers, entitled "Chaud les marrons", signed Henri Honoré Plé, in good condition. Henri Honoré Plé was born in Paris on 8 March 1853 and died on 31 January 1922 in the same city. He is a French painter and sculptor, a student of Mathurin Moreau. He exhibited at the Salon from 1877 where he won an honourable mention in 1879. Member of the society of French artists, he was part of the Art Nouveau movement and got a bronze medal at the Exposition Universelle in Paris in 1900. The name Poulbot was given to the poor children of the Rue Montmartre in Paris, working in the small trades of the time. Secure shipping with tracking.
