Figurine of the sacred Ibis Bird, which was honoured as the symbol of the God Thoth.
Material: Bronze.
Date: Late period, 664-332 BC.
Dimensions: H. 8 cm, width: 4.4 cm. Length: 12.8 cm, without stand.
Condition: Good, no cracks or repairs, however, some weathering due to very old age, old-fashioned glued to the stand, see photos.
Provenance:
The supplier warrants that he has obtained this lot legally.
Coming from a Dutch collection.
Important information:
for transportation within the EU, no export license is required for this lot.
Because of the importance of this object, an export license must be requested
when shipped outside the European Union.
This should be done via the Heritage Inspection of the Ministry of Education, Culture and Science.
This can only be done after the auction and may take some time.
