Medal on the murder of the de Witt brothers 1672.
The obverse shows the busts of the murdered brothers, and the edge and thickness of the medal bear the following legend: ILLUSTRISSIMI FRATRES JOHANnes ET CORNELius DEWIT, VIOLENTA MORTE DELETI HAGE, the very illustrious brothers Johan and Cornelis de Witt killed by violence on 20 August 1672.
The reverse bears the text:

TEN SPIEGEL VAN DE GROOTEN
VERHEVEN EN VERSTOOTEN,
IN ALLES LOTGEMEEN
