Dresden Art. Gracious porcelain sculpture ‘La Danseuse Espagnole aux castagnettes’. Made in the second half of the 20th century in Germany. Great romantic depiction of a young Spanish dancer with castanets. Dressed in a gorgeous pleated Spanish dress with black and white lace, a bordeaux-coloured breast piece with gilded finish and a yellow-coloured foulard. The lace on the dress is decorated with embossed flowers. A wonderful lively face with lovely gilded diadem, very ornate finish and precise details. Fabulous colours. Very elegant and romantic. Marked on the rear of the base with a blue logo. ‘15 Made in West Germany’. ‘Handgemalt Dresden Art’. ‘Frankenthal’. Numbered: ‘27’. ‘4’. ‘Allemagne’. It is 18.5 cm tall. A width of 14 cm and 10 cm in length. It weighs 338 grams. In wonderful condition, just some minor flaws on the porcelain lace of the dress. Not really disturbing, the photos give a good impression.
