All plates are present and in very nice condition (Nice Copy) (Please see pictures). “Georges Perrot (12 November 1832 June 30, 1914) was a French archaeologist, professor in the faculty of letters in Paris, and a prolific author. His book, entitled A History of Art in Ancient Egypt is a two volume set covering the art of Ancient Egypt via archaeological means and discovery. As an archaeologist, Perrot explored Greece, Asia Minor, and other famous locales for archaeological digging; his findings while on dig sites inspired a considerable amount of his writing. This particular series was written in tandem with co-author Charles Chipiez, who worked and studied alongside Perrot and was considered an equal authority in the field of archaeology by contemporaries.
