It's a Mino-yaki Shino-yaki Nezumishino Chawan(Tea bowl) in Simple and practical tea bowl full of wabi-sabi style 美濃焼 : Mino ware is a general term for ceramics produced in the Tono region of Gifu Prefecture (formerly Mino Province). There are 15 types of Mino ware designated as traditional crafts, and their highlights include the pale colors, soft texture of the base, and glaze finish. Shino ware*Nezushino * is a type of Mino ware whose manufacturing method was established during the Azuchi-Momoyama period. Along with Oribe ware, it can be said to be a representative pottery of the Azuchi-Momoyama period. Among all Shino ware, Nezushino has a unique texture. An iron coating called ``Oniita'' is applied to the base, and the patterns are created by scraping it off. The scraped part is white, and the part where the iron remains is grayish, hence the name ``Nezushino.''
