This particular statue embodies the fierce visage of a warrior, adorned in armor, symbolizing his protective role. Virūḍhaka tramples malevolent spirits, ensuring safety in all directions. The period attribution is based on our store's assessment. The accompanying display cabinet is believed to be from the Edo period. The statue bears signs of wear such as scratches, stains, dust, and surface peeling. Its right leg has been repaired, rendering it slightly unstable. The item in its right hand (a halberd) and the metallic aura around it show rust and are quite shaky, risking detachment. A missing nail from the cabinet will be included. Please review the photographs for a closer inspection of its condition. This item is a delicately crafted statue that has survived through hundreds of years. While we will take every possible precaution in packaging, due to the nature of the item, there is a possibility that its condition could worsen during shipping due to impacts and other factors.
