It is a socio-critical concept album that draws parallels between human behavior and the characteristics of various animals. The album is divided into three main tracks, each representing a different animal species: "Dogs", "Pigs (Three Different Ones)" and "Sheep". "Dogs" explores the traits of ruthlessness and ambition, "Pigs (Three Different Ones)" targets the hypocrisy and greed of politicians and the elite, while "Sheep" depicts the passive and conformist nature of the general population. Musically, "Animals" is characterized by a mixture of progressive rock, hard rock and blues influences. The album is characterized by extended instrumental passages, complex arrangements and atmospheric soundscapes.
