【Important notes】 ・International Buyers: Import duties, taxes, and charges are not included in the item price or shipping charges. These charges are the buyer’s responsibility. ・Please check with your country’s customs office to determine what these additional costs will be prior to bidding/buying. These duties are paid to your country's customs office and not to us. Prompt payment of these fees is necessary to ensure delivery of your item. ・We deeply value your understanding regarding the blade's export process. The duration to secure an export permit might extend up to 3-4 weeks, and shipping, based on the destination, could take an additional month. In some instances, sea freight may be chosen, which might lengthen the delivery period to 2-3 months. ・Considering the diligence required for export permit procedures, we'd like to emphasize the importance of commitment after purchase. If the auction is annulled post-confirmation, there's a need to retract the said permit. In such situations, to cover administrative efforts, a fee equating to 10% of the auction's final amount would be requested via PayPal. ・We kindly request bids from those who fully acknowledge these conditions. Please be informed that the original registration document is required to be returned to official authorities, so a copy will be provided with the sword. ・Please be aware that due to procedural reasons, we cannot ship to Austria. 【Product details】 Presenting a prized possession from the Muromachi period, this tachi, crafted by the skilled swordsmith Motohisa of the renowned Bishu Osafune school, comes with a certificate of Special Preservation Sword from the NBTHK (Nihon Bijutsu Token Hozon Kyokai), certifying its authenticity and craftsmanship. Accompanying this esteemed blade is certificate number 1019532, issued on March 10 of Reiwa 5 (2023). Bishu Osafune is synonymous with the pinnacle of Japanese sword-making, a legacy that continues to represent the epitome of this ancient craft. The sword in question is a testament to the artistry of the Bishu Osafune group and the particular artisan Motohisa. This tachi, authenticated as a work by Bishu Osafune Motohisa, is complemented by a copy of its Firearms and Swords Registration Certificate, following the return of the original to the official institution. The certification from Okayama Prefecture, numbered 128928, accurately describes the tachi: a traditional Japanese long sword characterized by a length of 64.5 cm and a curvature of 2.7 cm, with a single peg hole. The distinguished signature "Bishu Osafune Motohisa" is proudly marked on the front, with the reverse side left unadorned. The official paperwork was issued on the 28th of April in the 4th year of Reiwa (2022). A discrepancy was noted between the registration number on the certificate and the number recorded in the NBTHK ledger, with a mix-up between the ending digits 3 and 8. Upon inquiry with the NBTHK, the registration details were confirmed to be accurate, suggesting a clerical error during the issuance of the certificate. For a complete evaluation, please refer to the provided photographs. Please check the provided images as the blade shows some signs of wear and minor scratches. Note that the stand displayed is solely for exhibition purposes and is not included with the purchase. Length of the blade: 82 cm Length of scabbard: 93 cm ・Please make sure to review all the provided information and images before placing your bid. ・We make every effort to accurately represent the product's colors and textures in our photos. However, due to differences in monitors and device displays, as well as photographic conditions, slight color variations between the photos and the actual product may occur. We ask for your understanding in advance. Thank you for your interest, and happy bidding!
