A very rare gold (16,5 gr, / 17,6 Karat) sitting Buddha travelling votive plaque from the ancient Gandhara culture, first half of the first century AD.
In good condition. It has been cleaned, but the nice antique patina is preserved. Trace of use and age on its surface.
Purchased 1980 in Budapest by Dr. Zelnik from the collectionn of a former ambassador in the Middle East, H.E.T.L.
