Miles Davis - Agharta/ A Adventurous And Pioneering "Must Have " In Jazz - Doppel-LP (Album mit 2 LPs) - Japanische Pressung - 1981

Miles Davis was an outstanding American jazz musician and is considered one of the most influential and innovative musicians of the 20th century. He was born on May 26, 1926 in Alton, Illinois, and his musical legacy spans many decades and jazz styles. Miles Davis grew up in a musical family and began playing the trumpet at a young age. He studied at the Juilliard School of Music in New York City, but soon left school to establish himself in the city's jazz scene. Davis was a pioneer of cool jazz, a style of jazz that became popular in the late 1940s and early 1950s. He recorded the landmark album "Birth of the Cool" in 1949, which paved the way for a new era of jazz. In the late 1950s, Davis further developed modal jazz, an approach that relied less on chord progressions and instead relied on different scales and modes. The 1959 album "Kind of Blue", on which he collaborated with musicians such as John Coltrane and Bill Evans, is one of the best-selling jazz albums of all time and a milestone in jazz history. In the 1960s, Miles Davis began incorporating elements of rock, electronic and funk into his music. Albums like "In a Silent Way" and "Bitches Brew" were groundbreaking for the fusion jazz movement and demonstrated his willingness to push musical boundaries. Miles Davis was known for his ability to constantly develop musically and discover new talents. He led various ensembles and worked with many important musicians, including John Coltrane, Herbie Hancock, Wayne Shorter and many others. Davis had a turbulent life and at times struggled with drug addiction and health problems. Despite these challenges, he left behind an enormous artistic legacy. Miles Davis died on September 28, 1991 in Santa Monica, California. His music and his influence on jazz and the entire music world are still felt today. Davis is often considered one of jazz's most important innovators and one of the most fascinating figures in music history. ★★★ Miles Davis – Agharta - is a live double album that Miles Davis, the famous jazz trumpeter, recorded in 1975.
