The name "Senju Kannon" translates to "One with a Thousand Hands," symbolizing the deity's vast capability to save all beings without exception, reflecting an aspect of divinity also recognized in Hinduism. As one of the six forms of Kannon, this depiction is renowned for its many hands, each representing the ability to reach out and provide salvation to all sentient beings. This figure is widely revered for its compassion and wisdom. The statue is securely affixed within its Zushi cabinet, an emblem of enduring faith and meticulous craftsmanship. However, the passage of time has left its mark on this sacred ensemble. The statue itself bears signs of historical reverence, including a crack on the right leg and adhesive marks on the hands, speaking to past preservation efforts. The Zushi cabinet, while elegant, exhibits evidence of age and restoration: scratches, chipping of the black lacquer, metal fittings' discoloration, and areas of gold leaf repair contribute to its antique character. Please refer to the accompanying photos for a detailed view of its condition. Dimensions: approx. H 47.5 cm W 16 cm D 14 cm ・Please make sure to review all the provided information and images before placing your bid. ・We make every effort to accurately represent the product's colors and textures in our photos. However, due to differences in monitors and device displays, as well as photographic conditions, slight color variations between the photos and the actual product may occur.
