Oris - Pointer Date Calendar, 31,5mm , Mechanical hand winding , 1950 One of Oris' most iconic and distinctive models, diameter of 31,5mm, a size considered quite standard for wristwatches of the 1950s. This watch has a distinctive feature: a small additional hand, called the "pointer date", which points towards the day numbers around the dial , this design allowed for quick and intuitive display of the date without having to read the day directly on the dial. This watch represented an elegant combination of functionality and style, reflecting the classic design of the era. To this day, vintage Oris Pointer Date models from 1950 are highly sought after by collectors for their retro charm and history in Swiss watchmaking tradition. Timepiece in really good aesthetic condition for its age and with original parts. Excellent operating conditions, it keeps time perfectly and the mechanical hand winding movement keeps the charge for approximately 28 hours. All hands work perfectly including the date hand and the small seconds hand. New leather strap just changed.
