Zsolnay - Vase - geriffelt - Eosin - Porzellan

Zsolnay Art deco - fluted - eosine vase. Its acid-etched surface is covered with a rare honey-yellow and greenish eosin glaze. Hand painted eosin vase. Main colors: gold, green, yellow, blue. Each piece is unique, each piece is handmade. This eosin glaze technique was developed and introduced in Hungary by Vilmos Zsolnay in the 19th century, he made it world famous. The eosin products of the Zsolnay Porcelain Manufactory are unique in the world. Eosin (Hungarian: dawn blush) is a brilliantly shiny ceramic glaze ranging from gold to rose bug green, which was first made world famous by Vilmos Zsolnay's factory in Pécs. Eosin glaze is typically green in color, but it also exists in red, purple, blue and gold shades. It is interesting that the color is not caused by the paint, but by refraction. Eosin is named after Eósz, the goddess of the dawn. The secret of the procedure is kept by the Zsolnay factory to this day. Due to its age, it has small scratches (last photo) which does not affect its beauty and value. Flawless, no breaks, no cracks, no repairs. Size: 16.5 cm Indicated. It comes from a private collection. The photos are part of the description. I will send it well packed and trackable. Shipping to countries outside the EU may take longer due to customs clearance, please understand!
