Giuseppe Palmisano x iosonopipo - Leeeegs - XL

#collectorscorner A picture taken at Palazzo Ulmo, in Taranto, Apulia Print on Fine Art Hahnemuhle, Photo Rag 308, cotton 100%, edion 1 of 9 items only, size 60x90 shipped rolled in a tube Giuseppe Palmisano was born on November 4th in Ceglie Messapica, a small town in Puglia. He grew up surrounded by flour and traditions and came into contact with art as a teenager, starting to do theater and clowning. All this, together with a strong fascination for symbols, aesthetics and scenography, pushed me to buy a camera and start investigating the relationship between man and the space that surrounds him. In 2009 he moved to Rome, where he began working for a theater company. In the following years he changed about thirty houses and I lived in ten different cities. In 2012 I began a new photographic exploration based on the figure of women, seen as the maximum expression of nature. The role - and image - of women has always been central to his work and his aim is to deprive that image of its intrinsic eroticism. This is where iosonopipo was born. In 2019 I decided to sell the artistic identity of iosonopipo on a well-known auction site. It was bought by Francesco R. After 3 years the archive was purchased by Mario Mondaini Studio and Giuseppe returned to direct it to continue investigating identity, to use it as a meeting between people, as a liberating and cathartic moment. He currently lives in Milan.
