The design features bamboo leaves in gold Maki-e, stretching over the surface and onto the lid, with raised silver dots representing morning dew, which adds a tactile dimension to the piece. The interior is finished in a polished black lacquer, presenting a stark, elegant contrast to the exterior design. Maki-e, a technique in which gold or silver powder is sprinkled onto wet lacquer to create intricate patterns, is celebrated for its beauty and precision.
