Wines bought to a retired wine distributor of Haro, La Rioja, in 2011. Stored in a private cellar up to today. Exceptional storage conditions. Fully mature and therefore drinking well now, or cellar for the next 20-25 years years. Vintage 1964 was officially rated "Excellent" by the Regulatory Board of Rioja. This vintage was unanimously considered the best vintage of the 20th century. Vinified in a big wooden vat from the founding time of the winery (1877) without temperature control, for 12 months and then racked to cask. Aged for 9 years and a half, 106 months. Racked 11 times, once every 6 months in the first years, using the traditional cask-to-cask Riojan method. Hand bottled directly from the barrel, bottle by bottle. Packed in a special wine box officially certified by UPS / DHL. Bottles are packed individually, one by one, and wrapped in a 3 layers bubble wrap.
